Travel Strollers That Fit in the Airplane Overhead Bin (2026)
“Cabin approved” on the box doesn’t mean every airline will accept it. We check each stroller’s exact folded dimensions against the published carry-on limits of United, Delta, American, Southwest and Air Canada, with rotation allowed. This list ranks strollers by how many of those airlines’ carry-on boxes they fit, then by folded volume.
How this list is ranked
Ranked by the number of tracked airlines whose carry-on box the folded stroller fits (with our standard 2-inch practical tolerance), then by smallest folded volume. Specs come from each manufacturer’s current US listing - see our methodology.

gb Pockit Air All-Terrain
~$190
- 10.4 lb
- 13.8 × 11.8 × 7.1 in
- 6+ months · up to 55 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✓ United · ✓ Delta · ✓ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
An exceptionally small, light package at 10.4 lb. Tradeoff: Recline, leg rest, one-hand fold, suspension and basket capacity were not confirmed, so those features earn no points.
- 2

CYBEX Libelle
~$350
- 13.7 lb
- 12.6 × 7.8 × 18.9 in
- 6+ months · up to 55 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✓ United · ✓ Delta · ✓ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
The smallest folded volume in this shortlist. Tradeoff: The seat is not for babies under 6 months, and it needs both hands to fold and unfold.
- 3

Inglesina Quid³
~$399
- 14 lb
- 15.5 × 7.5 × 23 in
- 6+ months · up to 55 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✓ United · ✓ Delta · ✓ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
Front-wheel suspension, a 22 lb basket and a 55 lb weight capacity - among the highest here. Tradeoff: At $399 it’s one of the pricier options, and true newborn use needs a separately sold car-seat adapter.
- 4

Stokke YOYO³ 6+
~$449
- 13.7 lb
- 20.5 × 17.3 × 7.1 in
- 6+ months · up to 48.5 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✕ United · ✕ Delta · ✕ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
One-hand fold, all-wheel suspension, a multi-position recline and a proven ultra-compact shape. Tradeoff: Not newborn-ready in this configuration, and leg-rest was not confirmed.
- 5

CYBEX Coya
~$1050
- 14.6 lb
- 20.5 × 17.3 × 7.1 in
- 6+ months · up to 55 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✕ United · ✕ Delta · ✕ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
Near-flat recline, one-hand fold and premium materials. Tradeoff: Very expensive, and the seat itself is not for newborns.
- 6

Momcozy TuckGo
~$250
- 14.4 lb
- 20.1 × 16.9 × 8.3 in
- 6+ months · up to 50 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✕ United · ✕ Delta · ✕ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
All-wheel independent suspension, an adjustable footrest and a 3-year warranty. Tradeoff: Car-seat compatibility wasn’t confirmed, and the 6.6 lb basket limit is on the lower side for this shortlist.
- 7

Joolz Dot
~$399
- 12.2 lb
- 8.4 × 16.9 × 21 in
- 6+ months · up to 50 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✕ United · ✕ Delta · ✕ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
The lowest listed weight in this shortlist. Tradeoff: Suspension and one-hand folding were not confirmed, so those features earn no points, and its recline is two-position rather than flat.
- 8

Joolz Aer²
~$549
- 14.3 lb
- 20.9 × 17.3 × 9.2 in
- From birth · up to 50 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✕ United · ✕ Delta · ✕ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
Low weight, one-hand folding, all-wheel suspension and a generous basket. Tradeoff: Its 17.3-inch folded width exceeds a 14-inch carry-on limit. Plenty of parents report fitting larger strollers in the actual overhead bin - but the airline can still require gate-checking if there isn’t room.
- 9

Ergobaby Metro 3
~$399
- 17.1 lb
- 22 × 17.3 × 9.1 in
- From birth · up to 50 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✕ United · ✕ Delta · ✕ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
Newborn Nest, near-flat recline, one-hand folding, 4-wheel suspension and a 22 lb basket. Tradeoff: At 17.1 lb before accessories, it is heavier than the lightest choices here.
- 10

- 16 lb
- 17.6 × 9.6 × 21.8 in
- From birth · up to 50 lb
Carry-on box fit: ✕ United · ✕ Delta · ✕ American Airlines · ✓ Air Canada · ✓ Southwest
Full suspension, near-flat recline and a one-second one-hand fold. Tradeoff: At $579 it is one of the pricier options here, and a travel bag is not included.
Frequently asked questions
Which stroller fits in the overhead bin on most airlines?
The gb Pockit Air All-Terrain fits the carry-on box of 5 of the 5 airlines we track, folding to 13.8 × 11.8 × 7.1 in.
Can the airline still make me gate-check a stroller that fits?
Yes. Fitting the published carry-on dimensions doesn’t guarantee a space: full flights, smaller regional aircraft and crew decisions can all send a stroller to the gate. Southwest describes stroller checking only. Delta hasn’t explicitly confirmed compact-stroller cabin storage on the policy page we reviewed.
Does a travel bag change whether it fits?
It can. A padded bag adds bulk, so a stroller that barely fits bare may not fit in its bag. Measure the packed size if you plan to use one.
