Overview
The Butterfly 2 Plus is the newborn-ready version of Bugaboo’s compact travel stroller: a fully reclining seat and built-in newborn foot cover replace the separate car seat the original Butterfly 2 required for infant use. Bugaboo lists full suspension, a near-flat 170° recline and a 17.6 lb basket.
At 16 lb it’s on the heavier side of this shortlist, and Bugaboo’s one-second fold is a headline feature — the whole stroller collapses with one hand.
Bambi Baby’s write-up on the Plus generation calls out its versatility — newborn use without a bassinet, travel-system compatibility with adapters, and continued comfort into toddlerhood — as its main advantage over the standard Butterfly 2.
