Fold and portability
The TRVL lx folds to 14.3 × 21 × 27 in and fits the carry-on box of 0 of the 5 airlines we track. The YOYO³ 6+ folds to 20.5 × 17.3 × 7.1 in and fits 2 of 5. The YOYO³ 6+ is the lighter of the two at 13.7 lb, against 17 lb for the TRVL lx. See each airline’s stroller policy for the fine print.
Comfort and ride
For naps and rough ground, the TRVL lx offers near-flat recline / carriage mode, all-wheel suspension and a 10 lb basket, while the YOYO³ 6+ offers multi-position recline, all-wheel suspension and a 22 lb basket.
Newborn use
Use carriage mode for newborns as instructed in the manual. Seat is for 6+ months in this configuration. Stokke sells a separate newborn pack bundle for birth use, not ranked in this version.
Price
The TRVL lx is the pricier of the two at around $600, against around $449 for the YOYO³ 6+, a gap of roughly $151.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the Nuna TRVL lx if you need newborn use through carriage mode, use a Nuna PIPA car seat (it clicks on with no adapters), and you’re happy to gate-check.
Choose the Stokke YOYO³ 6+ if your child is 6 months or older and you want a lighter stroller with a much smaller fold, a bigger 22 lb basket and a lower price.
