United Airlines Stroller Policy (2026): Cabin, Gate Check & Which Strollers Fit

THE SHORT ANSWER
Compact strollers can go in the cabin, space permitting.
United says collapsible strollers can be stored in the cabin, as long as they fit its carry-on size limits and there is room on board. Standard (larger) strollers can be checked free at the gate.
What United Airlines says
- Collapsible strollers may be brought into the cabin if they fit United’s carry-on dimensions.
- Aircraft type and available overhead space still decide on the day - full flights and smaller regional jets can mean a gate check.
- Strollers that don’t qualify for the cabin can be checked at the gate at no charge.
- On United Express or partner-operated flights, the operating carrier’s rules may differ - check every segment.
