Best Nuna TRVL lx Alternatives (Including PIPA-Compatible Picks)

The Nuna TRVL lx is famous for its effortless fold, carriage mode for newborns and the way Nuna PIPA infant car seats attach without adapters. But it costs about $600, weighs 17 lb, and its 14.3 × 21 × 27 in fold is too large for the carry-on box of every airline we track.
Here are the alternatives we’d consider, depending on what you want to improve.

The Inglesina Quid³ works with Nuna PIPA Aire, Aire RX, RX and Urbn seats via its separately sold $49 adapter. It fits the carry-on box of all 5 airlines we track, weighs 14 lb, has a 22 lb basket and costs about $399. Its seat starts at 6 months, so newborns ride in the car seat.
If you want PIPA compatibility with a lie-flat seat: Silver Cross Clic
The Silver Cross Clic’s included bumper bar adapts to select seats including the Nuna PIPA RX and Urbn, and its seat reclines to full lie-flat from birth. It’s 13.9 lb and about $400. Suspension isn’t published by the manufacturer.
If you want carriage mode with a bigger basket: UPPAbaby Minu V3

When to just buy the TRVL lx
If you already own a Nuna PIPA and love the idea of clicking it on with no adapters, and you’re fine checking the stroller when you fly, the TRVL lx remains one of the easiest travel strollers to live with.
